Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Supervisor/Fitter to oversee and carry out sprinkler system installations on commercial sites. This role combines hands-on fitting with supervising small installation teams, ensuring work is delivered to the required standard and in line with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation and fitting of sprinkler systems on commercial projects
- Supervise and support installation teams to ensure work is completed on time and to specification
- Work in line with LPCB, BS EN12845, and BS9251 standards
- Ensure high levels of site health & safety, assisting with toolbox talks and risk assessments
- Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and design teams regarding technical or installation issues
- Read and understand installation drawings, raising any discrepancies as required
- Complete site paperwork, progress updates, and assist during commissioning and handover
- Previous experience as a Lead Fitter or Supervisor working with sprinkler systems
- Strong practical knowledge of sprinkler fitting and installation methods
- Understanding of LPCB/British Standards relating to sprinklers (BS EN12845 / BS9251)
- Ability to lead and organise a small team of fitters on site
- CSCS card essential, with Health & Safety awareness
- SSSTS or similar supervisor certification desirable
- Good communication skills and ability to work with site management and clients
