About the Role

Are you an experienced Site Supervisor looking for your next opportunity?

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading fire protection and electrical contracting specialist, trusted by national infrastructure operators, to hire a Site Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations across Scotland, ensuring fire and electrical installation works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

This is an ideal opportunity to join an established organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and electrical safety solutions across UK utility and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision: Manage and oversee daily site activities across multiple locations within the Central Belt, ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with programme requirements.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full adherence to site rules, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work systems at all times.
  • Contractor Coordination: Direct and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and site operatives to maintain efficient, safe, and compliant operations on site.
  • Safety Briefings & Inspections: Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and routine safety checks, maintaining a strong safety culture across the workforce.
  • Programme Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress against project milestones and quality benchmarks, reporting site issues, incidents, and daily/weekly updates to the Project Manager.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

  • Experience: Proven track record supervising fire, security, or electrical installation and maintenance projects within the utilities or infrastructure sector.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience managing site operations within live utility environments, including windfarms, industrial sites, or similarly high-risk settings.
  • Project/Operational Scope: Demonstrated ability to lead small teams on complex, multi-site projects and deliver works to programme and quality standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to lead briefings, conduct safety inspections, and report clearly to project management.
  • Certifications: Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and an in-date ECS or CSCS card.
  • Mobility & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence, willingness to travel across the Central Belt, and Right to Work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Certifications: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification; additional fire or electrical industry accreditations.
  • Sector Background: Prior experience on utility infrastructure, energy, or critical environment contracts such as oil and gas, renewables, or large-scale industrial installations.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Base Salary: £45,000 + mileage allowance / company van
  • Benefits Package: Company pension scheme, mileage allowance, and a company van for site travel across Scotland.
  • Clear career progression within a growing global sector.
