Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of specialist signage and wayfinding solutions to hire a Signage Installer with a focus on theatre and cinema environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of signage systems across live entertainment and cinema venues, ensuring all signage meets operational and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Signage Installation: Install, configure, and test a range of internal and external signage systems within theatre and cinema environments, including illuminated displays, wayfinding, and emergency signage.
• Site Preparation & Fixing: Prepare surfaces, route cabling, and fix signage structures in accordance with site-specific drawings and specifications.
• Stakeholder & Venue Coordination: Liaise with venue managers, main contractors, and project coordinators to ensure works are completed on time and with minimal disruption to live operations.
• Technical Oversight & Reporting: Maintain accurate installation records, produce snag lists, and contribute to handover documentation upon project completion.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with relevant British Standards, CDM regulations, and venue-specific health and safety requirements.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Signage Installer, ideally within theatre, cinema, or comparable entertainment or public-facing venue environments.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with illuminated signage, lightbox displays, LED systems, and fixings to a variety of substrates including plasterboard, masonry, and steelwork.
• Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of completing installations within live or partially occupied venues, working to tight schedules and access restrictions.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a professional approach when working in public-facing environments.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.

Desirable:

• Certifications: CSCS card (Blue or Gold); IPAF or PASMA for working at height; first aid certificate.
• Sector Background: Prior experience working on theatre fit-outs, cinema refurbishments, or retail/leisure signage installations.
