Job Title: Security Technical Engineer
Location: London & Suffolk
Salary: From £45,000 to £65,000 per annum
Are you a Security Technical Engineer based in London or Suffolk looking to work on high-profile integrated security projects? As a Security Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning, integration, technical support, and troubleshooting of enterprise-level security systems across prestigious client sites. You will be working for a highly respected security integrator delivering advanced security solutions across complex environments.
Responsibilities:
● Technical support and fault finding on integrated security systems
● System commissioning, testing, and integration
● Pre-build configuration and system staging
● Conduct system testing and validation
● Work on enterprise-level systems including Genetec, Gallagher, and Lenel
● Act as the main point of contact on sites
● Support networking and IT infrastructure relating to security systems
Experience and Certifications required:
● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
● Experience working with Genetec, Gallagher, and Lenel systems
● Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
● Experience with routing and switching
● Knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and load balancing
● Familiarity with packet analysis and network protocols
● Understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools
● Awareness of cyber and network security threats
