Job Title: Security Systems Design Engineer
Location: London/South-East
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Package
Are you a Security Systems Design Engineer based in London/South-East looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed designs and specifications for integrated security systems across a range of commercial, residential, and critical infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and installation teams to ensure designs meet both technical requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed design drawings, schematics, and specifications for security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and intercom systems.
* Carry out site surveys to gather information required for accurate system design and risk assessment.
* Prepare technical documentation including design packs, cable schedules, and equipment schedules in line with project requirements.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and to specification.
* Review and respond to technical queries during the installation and commissioning phases of projects.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant British Standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the design of electronic security systems.
* Proven experience working with leading security platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, Gallagher, Honeywell, or equivalent.
* Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and integrated security systems.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software for producing technical drawings.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA or BSIA membership (desirable).
* NSI or SSAIB accreditation awareness or equivalent industry qualification (desirable).
