Job Title: Security Small Works Manager
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000 + Overtime

Are you an experienced Security professional based in Yorkshire looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of small works projects and commissioning activities across a range of commercial and residential sites, ensuring work is completed on time, to specification, and to the highest standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking to take their first step off the tools and into a management role, with a clear long-term path towards project management. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the end-to-end delivery of security small works projects, coordinating labour, materials, and subcontractors to meet programme and budget requirements.
* Oversee the commissioning of security systems including intruder detection, access control, and CCTV, ensuring all installations meet client specifications and industry standards.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the small works process, providing regular updates and resolving any on-site issues promptly.
* Conduct site surveys and produce method statements, risk assessments, and handover documentation for each project.
* Support the development and mentoring of field engineers, promoting best practice and high standards of workmanship.
* Identify opportunities for business growth and work closely with the wider team to contribute to the long-term project management pipeline.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience installing and commissioning security systems, including intruder alarm, access control, and/or CCTV.
* Proven ability to manage small works or multiple concurrent projects, with experience coordinating engineers and subcontractors.
* Strong working knowledge of leading security systems such as Texecom, Honeywell, Paxton, Hikvision, or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.
* NSI or SSAIB installer accreditation (desirable).
* SMSTS or SSSTS Health & Safety qualification (desirable).
