Job Title: Security Small Works Manager

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime
Are you an experienced Security Engineer or Small Works Manager based in Yorkshire looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of small works projects and commissioning activities across a range of commercial and residential sites, ensuring installations are completed on time, to specification, and to the highest standard. This is an excellent step for a hands-on engineer looking to move off the tools into a management role, with a clear long-term progression path towards full project management. Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of small works security projects, from initial scoping through to completion and sign-off.
* Oversee commissioning activities across a variety of site types, ensuring all systems are tested and handed over in line with client requirements.
* Coordinate engineers and subcontractors, allocating resource effectively to meet project deadlines.
* Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular progress updates and resolving any on-site issues promptly.
* Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
* Support the transition towards full project management, taking ownership of budgets, programmes, and project documentation.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven hands-on experience in the security industry, with a background in installation and commissioning of security systems.
* Demonstrable experience managing or coordinating small works projects, or a strong desire to step up from an engineering role into management.
* Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems from leading manufacturers.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role will require travel to sites across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
* SIA Licence (desirable).
* FIA or SSAIB/NSI accreditation awareness (desirable).
