Job Title: Security Small Works Manager
Location: Midlands
Salary: £50k + Bonus + Car Allowance
Are you a Security Small Works Manager based in the Midlands looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of small works projects across a range of commercial and industrial sites, managing engineers and subcontractors to ensure installations and upgrades of intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of security small works projects, including intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control installations, from survey through to sign-off.
* Plan and allocate field engineers and subcontractors, ensuring resource is aligned to project schedules and customer requirements.
* Monitor project budgets, identifying and addressing any cost variances to ensure profitability targets are met.
* Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
* Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
* Support the estimating and pricing of new small works opportunities, working closely with the sales and surveying teams.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the fire and security industry, with a focus on small works or project delivery.
* Hands-on technical background in the installation and commissioning of intruder alarm, CCTV, and/or access control systems.
* Experience managing field-based engineers and subcontractors across multiple concurrent projects.
* Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, including PD 6662, BS 8243, and BS EN 50132.
* Full UK driving licence.
* NSI or SSAIB accreditation awareness (desirable).
