Job Title: Security Service Engineer

Are you a Security Service Engineer based in Southampton looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and fault diagnosis of security systems across a range of commercial and residential sites, ensuring all systems operate to the required standard and in line with client expectations. Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems to manufacturer and industry standards.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on a range of security systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
* Complete accurate service records and job reports using the relevant documentation or field management software.
* Liaise with clients on site to communicate system status, works completed, and any recommendations for remedial action.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant British Standards, including BS EN 50131 and BS 7858 where applicable.
* Represent the company professionally on site, maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining security systems in a field-based role.
* Hands-on experience with intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems from recognised manufacturers such as Texecom, Honeywell, Paxton, or Hikvision.
* Proven ability to fault-find and diagnose issues across a variety of security system types and configurations.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role requires regular travel to client sites across the region.
* SIA Door Supervisor or Security Systems licence (desirable).
* NSI or SSAIB approved installer certification (desirable).
