About the Role

Are you an experienced Security Project Manager looking for your next opportunity?

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of physical security and critical infrastructure solutions to hire a Security Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle of security system installations across critical infrastructure sites, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery of security projects across critical infrastructure sites, managing programme, cost, and scope from initiation through to handover.
  • Site Coordination: Oversee installation and commissioning activities on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.
  • Stakeholder & Supply Chain Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Oversight & Reporting: Produce and maintain project documentation including programme schedules, risk registers, progress reports, and handover packs.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including BS EN 50132, BS 7799, and site-specific H&S requirements.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Security Project Manager within the physical security or critical infrastructure industry.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on project management experience with enterprise security systems such as CCure, Genetec, Lenel, or Milestone, alongside CCTV, access control, and perimeter protection solutions.
  • Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record delivering complex, high-value security projects within critical infrastructure environments such as utilities, transport, government, or defence sites.
  • Soft Skills: Strong client relationship management, confident decision-making under pressure, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK; willingness to travel across Scotland and potentially wider UK as project demands require.

Desirable:

  • Certifications: PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management qualification; NSI or SSAIB approved contractor background; CSCS/SIA licence.
  • Sector Background: Prior experience delivering security projects within regulated critical national infrastructure (CNI) environments, including familiarity with government security frameworks and vetting requirements.
