Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of commercial security systems to hire a Security Installation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standard within agreed timeframes.

Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems to manufacturer and industry specifications across commercial sites in and around Cambridge.
- Cabling & Termination: Run, dress, and terminate cabling for all security system types in line with site drawings and project requirements.
- Site Coordination: Liaise with site managers, other trades, and project leads to ensure works are completed efficiently and without disruption.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Complete installation records, as-fitted drawings, and handover documentation accurately upon completion of works.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installation work adheres to relevant industry standards including BS EN 50132, BS EN 50131, and BS 7858, and complies with site health and safety requirements.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Security Installation Engineer within the physical security industry.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on installation experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems across a range of manufacturers and platforms.
- Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering security installations on commercial sites, working independently and to tight schedules.
- Soft Skills: Reliable self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on site with minimal supervision.
- Mobility & Eligibility: Valid UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
Desirable:
- Certifications: ECS or CSCS card (required), SIA licence, NSI or SSAIB-affiliated installation experience.
- Sector Background: Prior experience on commercial, retail, or education sector security installations.
