Are you an experienced Security Installation Engineer looking for your next opportunity?

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of commercial security systems to hire a Security Installation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of CCTV and intruder alarm systems across commercial sites in East London, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and within programme.

Key Responsibilities

• CCTV Installation: Install, cable, and configure CCTV systems to client specification on commercial sites across East London.
• Intruder Alarm Installation: Install intruder alarm systems including control panels, detectors, and peripheral devices in line with BS 4737/PD 6662 standards.
• On-Site Coordination: Liaise with site managers, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered on time and without disruption.
• Technical Documentation: Complete installation records, test sheets, and handover documentation accurately upon completion of works.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations adhere to relevant British Standards, site-specific H&S requirements, and client quality expectations.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Security Installation Engineer within the physical security industry.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on installation experience with CCTV systems (IP and analogue) and intruder alarm systems, including control panels and detection devices from leading manufacturers.
• Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering installations on commercial or light industrial sites to a high standard.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and a methodical approach to fault-finding and installation quality.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK; ability to travel to and work across East London sites.

Desirable:

• Certifications: ECS or CSCS card holder — required for site access.
• Sector Background: Prior experience on commercial fit-out or retail security projects; familiarity with NSI or SSAIB-accredited installation environments.
