Job Title: Project Manager (Fire & Security)
Location: Cambridge
Length: 4–6 months
Rate: £350–£360 per day

Are you a Project Manager (Fire & Security) based in Cambridge looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Project Manager (Fire & Security), you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and financial management of a large-scale construction project, working across a full suite of fire and security systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, disabled refuge systems, air sampling, and water mist/sprinkler systems, serving clients across the commercial construction sector. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.

Responsibilities:

* Lead on all commercial and financial aspects of the project, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial discussions and programme updates.
* Oversee and maintain the project programme, ensuring milestones are met and risks are identified and mitigated early.
* Review and manage subcontractor accounts, variations, and change orders to maintain cost and programme alignment.
* Prepare and present financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and project updates in line with contractual requirements.
* Work closely with the on-site Project Manager to ensure alignment between site delivery and commercial objectives.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Proven experience as a Project Manager within the fire and security sector, with a strong background in commercial and financial management.
* Demonstrable technical knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, disabled refuge systems, air sampling, and water mist/sprinkler systems.
* Experience managing senior client-facing relationships and programme reporting across large-scale construction projects.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a desktop-based capacity.
* Full UK driving licence and own transport.
* ECS Card and SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
