Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of enterprise physical security and access control systems to hire a Project Engineer – Lenel Access Control. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical engineering works across Lenel head-end systems, security equipment racks, and associated access control infrastructure within a live, high-security data centre environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lenel Head-End Engineering: Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot Lenel head-end hardware and associated access control infrastructure within a live data centre environment.
• Rack-Based Works: Complete security equipment rack builds and modifications, ensuring all equipment is correctly installed, connected, and labelled to a high standard.
• Stakeholder & Team Coordination: Work closely with project managers, installation teams, and site representatives to plan and coordinate day-to-day engineering activities.
• Technical Documentation & Reporting: Interpret technical drawings and system schematics; complete testing records, engineering documentation, and progress reports in line with project requirements.
• Quality & Compliance: Adhere to strict data centre site procedures, security protocols, and health and safety requirements, ensuring all works meet project specifications and industry standards.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

• Experience: Proven background as a Security Project Engineer or Senior Security Systems Engineer with strong hands-on Lenel Access Control experience.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise with Lenel head-end systems and rack-based infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and fault-finding.
• Project Scope: Extensive previous experience working on Microsoft Data Centre projects — this is a strict requirement for this position.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, a high standard of workmanship, and the ability to work independently within a secure, operational environment.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.

Desirable:

• Certifications: Valid ECS Card — Essential; experience with Lenel OnGuard is a strong advantage.
• Sector Background: Previous involvement in security system upgrades, modifications, or commissioning within live data centres; experience on large-scale critical infrastructure or hyperscale data centre projects.
