About the Role

Are you an experienced PAVA Installer looking for your next opportunity?

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of public address and voice alarm systems to hire a PAVA Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of PAVA systems across commercial and public sector sites, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• PAVA System Installation: Install public address and voice alarm systems across a variety of commercial, retail, and public sector sites throughout London and the South East.
• Cabling & Infrastructure: Run and terminate cables, install speakers, amplifiers, control panels, and associated PAVA equipment in line with design specifications.
• Stakeholder & Site Coordination: Liaise with site managers, main contractors, and fellow installation teams to ensure works are completed on programme and within scope.
• Technical Oversight & Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, complete installation documentation, and support handover packs and as-built drawings.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with BS 5839-8 and EN 54 standards, alongside relevant site health and safety regulations.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years as a PAVA Installer within the fire and life safety or building services industry.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience installing and terminating PAVA systems from manufacturers such as Bosch, Honeywell, TOA, or Gent; ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics.
• Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering PAVA installations on commercial, retail, or public sector projects from first fix through to commissioning support.
• Soft Skills: Reliable self-starter with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently on site.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.

Desirable:

• Certifications: ECS/CSCS card; FIA-recognised training; BS 5839-8 awareness; IPAF or PASMA for working at height.
• Sector Background: Prior experience on large-scale retail, transport, or critical infrastructure PAVA rollouts across London and the South East.
