Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of enterprise physical security and integrated access control solutions to hire a Genetec Commissioning Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the commissioning, configuration, and handover of Genetec Security Centre deployments, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest technical standard and fully operational on time.

Key Responsibilities

• System Commissioning: Configure, test, and commission Genetec Security Centre platforms including Access Control, Video Management, and associated sub-systems across client sites in Central London.
• Technical Installation & Integration: Integrate Genetec with third-party hardware and software components, including IP cameras, access control readers, and intercom systems, ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Stakeholder & Site Coordination: Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and end-client representatives to ensure smooth delivery and minimal disruption to live environments.
• Technical Oversight & Reporting: Produce accurate commissioning documentation, system schematics, test records, and handover packs in line with project requirements.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations meet relevant industry standards and client specifications, with adherence to site health and safety regulations throughout.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Genetec Commissioning Engineer or in a comparable physical security commissioning role.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Genetec Security Centre, including Video Management System (VMS) and Access Control modules; familiarity with IP networking fundamentals relevant to security system deployment.
• Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record commissioning enterprise-scale or commercial security systems, including client-facing handover and sign-off.
• Soft Skills: Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability, excellent communication with both technical teams and end clients, and the ability to work independently on site.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.

Desirable:

• Certifications: Genetec Certified Technician (GCT) or Genetec Certified Engineer (GCE); CSCS/ECS card; SIA licence.
• Sector Background: Prior experience on critical infrastructure, data centre, or large-scale commercial projects; exposure to complementary platforms such as Lenel, CCure, or Milestone.
