Job Title: Genetec Commissioning Engineer
Location: Croydon
Length: 3 weeks + possible extension
Rate: £407.18 per day
Are you a Genetec Commissioning Engineer based in Croydon looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Genetec Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning IP CCTV cameras through the Genetec platform as part of a camera replacement project at a data centre site, ensuring each device is brought online, correctly configured, and verified before sign-off. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Commission CCTV cameras using the Genetec platform as they are replaced by the installation team on site.
* Configure cameras and associated settings within Genetec to ensure correct and consistent operation.
* Verify connectivity, functionality and successful operation of each commissioned camera prior to sign-off.
* Carry out fault finding and resolve commissioning or configuration issues as they arise.
* Liaise closely with the installation team throughout the camera changeover process.
* Record commissioning progress and report any outstanding issues in line with site requirements.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven hands-on experience commissioning CCTV systems using the Genetec platform.
* Strong working knowledge of IP CCTV camera configuration and network connectivity.
* Experience working in data centres, critical infrastructure, or similarly controlled environments.
* Confident troubleshooting commissioning and configuration issues independently in a live project environment.
* Own laptop and relevant Genetec software required to carry out commissioning works.
* Valid ECS Card (essential); Genetec Certified Professional qualification (desirable).
