Location: Linz, Austria
Project Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Rate: €55 per hour
Working Pattern: 45–50 hours per week, 10/4 rotation

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Project Manager to support a long-term fire alarm installation project within a Google Data Centre in Austria. The role will involve working alongside the Company’s Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality and compliance standards.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in fire alarm systems, strong site management capability, and the ability to coordinate installation, quality, commissioning, and handover activities in a highly controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out site surveys and prepare supporting documentation, taking account of security and fire risk factors.
  • Plan and coordinate fire detection, access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems where required.
  • Ensure all system designs and installation activities comply with applicable technical and regulatory standards, including EN, BS, HTM, BAFE, and NSI requirements.
  • Coordinate installation activities to ensure they are delivered in a controlled manner and in line with company procedures, statutory duties, and project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress actively and report on status, risks, delays, and required corrective actions.
  • Support the management of health and safety, installation progress, quality control, material management, and test and commissioning activities.
  • Produce reports for the Project Manager and other company officers as required.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure labour resources are adequate and project milestones are achieved.
  • Carry out acceptance from installers prior to commissioning.
  • Commission and test systems, complete commissioning paperwork, and demonstrate system operation to the client or client representative.
  • Ensure snags are documented, tracked, and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Keep drawings, schedules, and project records updated with accurate mark-ups and progress information.
  • Stay up to date with relevant technologies, standards, and regulatory developments.
Health and Safety
  • Deliver and record Safe Starts and Toolbox Talks.
  • Conduct site inspections and report findings.
  • Complete plant and MEWP inspections where applicable.
  • Support adherence to company H&S policy and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Help maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Quality and Compliance
  • Monitor installation quality and report defects or snags.
  • Ensure all snags are cleared and documented correctly.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality procedures and fire safety standards.
  • Support the management of false alarm prevention measures and system integrity.
  • Ensure commissioning and handover documentation is complete and accurate.
Requirements
  • EU passport holder.
  • Electrical qualification.
  • Previous experience in fire alarm installation and project delivery.
  • Experience working in data centres or similarly controlled environments preferred.
  • Good knowledge of relevant fire safety and electrical standards.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on a 10/4 rotation and travel for the assignment.
Preferred Experience
  • Strong understanding of Siemens Cerberus Pro systems preferred.
  • Fire alarm project management in large-scale commercial or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Commissioning, testing, and handover of life safety systems.
  • Managing subcontractors, labour resources, and site delivery plans.
  • Working to strict quality, safety, and compliance standards in live environments.
