Role: Fire Project Manager

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Fire Project Manager looking to take ownership of large-scale fire detection and suppression projects across the UK? Technical Resources is recruiting for a Fire Project Manager to join a leading national fire detection and suppression specialist, delivering high-value projects nationwide.
This role will see you managing multiple fire detection and gas suppression projects, ensuring delivery to the highest technical, financial, and compliance standards. You’ll act as the central point of responsibility, working closely with clients, engineers, and internal teams to drive projects from design through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage multiple fire detection and suppression projects concurrently
- Lead site teams and coordinate resources to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Oversee installation of fire alarms, gas suppression, watermist, aspirating detection, smoke management, and related systems
- Ensure all works comply with British Standards, including BS 5839, BS 5306, BS 8433, BS EN 15004, BS 6266, and BS 7671
- Maintain full financial control, including budgets, forecasts, and project profitability
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver a high-quality service
- Conduct risk assessments, manage site activities, and oversee quality assurance
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates
- Support estimation, technical queries, and problem resolution throughout project delivery
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within project operations
Experience and Certifications Required:
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Project Manager within fire protection or related engineering environments
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, gas suppression, and watermist systems
- Experience delivering projects ranging from small works to values up to £1 million
- Excellent organisational, multitasking, and risk management skills
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and client management experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar project management tools
- Competent user of Microsoft Office packages
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays
- Relevant industry certifications or accreditations are advantageous
