About the Role

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer looking for your next opportunity?

Technical Resources is partnering with a well-established, NSI Gold accredited fire and security systems provider to hire a Fire & Security Service Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of fire and security systems across a range of commercial sites in London, ensuring systems remain fully operational and compliant at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out routine and reactive servicing of fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm, and access control systems across commercial sites.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Remediation: Identify, diagnose, and resolve faults efficiently to minimise system downtime and maintain site safety.
  • Client Site Management: Work independently and professionally on client premises, maintaining high standards of conduct and customer service throughout each visit.
  • Technical Reporting & Documentation: Complete accurate service records, site reports, and compliance documentation following each visit.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in line with relevant industry standards, including BS 5839, BS EN 50131, and applicable health and safety regulations.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Fire & Security Service Engineer within the fire and security industry.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience servicing fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and/or access control systems across commercial environments.
  • Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works independently on commercial client sites.
  • Soft Skills: Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability, professional client-facing manner, and the ability to manage workload autonomously.
  • Mobility & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Certifications: FIA-recognised qualifications, CSCS/ECS card, or manufacturer-specific system training (e.g. Advanced, Hochiki, Texecom, Honeywell, Paxton).
  • Sector Background: Prior experience working within an NSI or SSAIB accredited organisation on commercial or multi-site maintenance contracts.
