Job Title: Fire and Security Installation Engineer
Location: Cardiff
Rate: £220 per day
Are you a Fire and Security Installation Engineer based in Cardiff looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire and Security Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of fire detection and alarm systems across a range of commercial and residential sites, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with current regulations. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out 1st and 2nd fix installation of fire alarm panels, including Morley systems.
* Install fire detection devices such as Apollo smoke heads, heat detectors, and call points.
* Read and work from technical drawings and schematics on site.
* Ensure all installations are completed in accordance with BS 5839 standards.
* Liaise with site managers and other trades to ensure works progress efficiently.
* Complete accurate site documentation and handover records upon job completion.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in fire alarm installation within commercial or residential environments.
* Proven experience installing and wiring Morley fire alarm panels.
* Hands-on experience with Apollo detection devices, including smoke heads and interfaces.
* Full UK driving licence required.
* ECS Card and DBS Check required.
* IPAF licence (desirable).
* FIA Qualification (desirable).
