Job Title: Fire and Security Installation Engineer
Location: Cardiff
Are you a Fire and Security Installation Engineer based in Cardiff looking for your next opportunity? As a Fire and Security Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of fire detection and alarm systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out 1st and 2nd fix installation of fire alarm panels, including Morley systems.
* Install fire detection devices such as Apollo smoke heads, heat detectors, and manual call points.
* Read and work from technical drawings and installation schematics on site.
* Ensure all installations are completed to BS 5839 standards and company quality requirements.
* Liaise with site managers and other trades to coordinate installation works.
* Complete accurate site documentation and handover records upon job completion.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience as a Fire and Security Installation Engineer, ideally 3+ years in a similar role.
* Hands-on experience with Morley fire alarm panels, including 1st and 2nd fix installation.
* Competence in installing Apollo detection devices and associated field devices.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role involves travel to various sites.
* ECS Card and DBS Check required.
* IPAF licence required.
* FIA Level 3 or equivalent fire alarm qualification (desirable).
