About the Role

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of integrated fire and security systems to hire a Fire & Security Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites throughout London.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission fire alarm and security systems including intruder alarms, access control, and CCTV in line with project specifications.
- Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled servicing and respond to reactive callouts, ensuring all systems are fully operational and compliant at all times.
- Stakeholder & Client Management: Liaise directly with clients and site managers to coordinate access, manage expectations, and ensure minimal disruption during works.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate service reports, commissioning records, and handover documentation in a timely manner.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works adhere to relevant industry standards including BS 5839, BS EN 50131, and current Health & Safety regulations.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Fire & Security Engineer within the fire and security industry.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with fire alarm panels and security systems from leading manufacturers such as Advanced, Gent, Honeywell, Texecom, or Paxton.
- Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering installation and maintenance works across commercial or mixed-use sites.
- Soft Skills: Strong fault-finding ability, client-facing communication skills, and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Mobility & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Certifications: FIA-accredited training, CSCS/ECS card, or NSI/SSAIB-recognised qualifications.
- Sector Background: Prior experience working on critical infrastructure, healthcare, or large-scale commercial contracts.
