About the Role
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Engineer looking for your next opportunity?
Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of fire detection and alarm systems to hire a Fire Alarm Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission fire alarm systems to manufacturer specifications and relevant British Standards.
Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled servicing and fault-finding on a range of conventional and addressable fire alarm panels across a varied client base.
Stakeholder & Client Management: Liaise with site managers, contractors, and end users to coordinate access, minimise disruption, and maintain strong client relationships.
Technical Documentation & Reporting: Produce accurate completion certificates, service reports, cause-and-effect documentation, and handover packs in line with project requirements.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with BS 5839, EN 54, and current Health & Safety legislation, maintaining the highest standards on every site.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Fire Alarm Systems Engineer within the fire safety industry.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with addressable and conventional fire alarm panels from manufacturers such as Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, Notifier, or Gent.
Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering installation and maintenance works across commercial, industrial, or public sector sites.
Soft Skills: Strong fault-finding ability, clear written and verbal communication, and a professional, client-facing manner.
Mobility & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable:
Certifications: FIA-accredited training, CSCS/ECS card, or Gent-certified engineer status.
Sector Background: Prior experience on critical infrastructure, healthcare, or education sector contracts.
