Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Manchester
Length: Monthly rolling contract, ASAP start
Rate: £220 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in Manchester looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial and industrial sites throughout the Manchester area. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems across multiple sites.
* Inspect, test and verify fire alarm panels, detectors, call points and ancillary devices in line with BS 5839 standards.
* Identify and report faults, recommending remedial works where required.
* Complete accurate service records and site documentation following each visit.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and facilities managers during scheduled visits.
* Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations and company procedures.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems in a field-based role.
* Proven experience working with a range of fire alarm panels, including Hochiki, Advanced, Kentec or similar.
* Strong understanding of BS 5839 standards and their practical application on site.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA trained or equivalent fire alarm qualification (desirable).
* CSCS/ECS card (desirable).
