Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Southwest (Devon/Exeter)
Length: Long term contract
Rate: £220 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in the Southwest looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, and fault finding on fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout the Devon and Exeter area. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839 standards.
* Inspect, service, and maintain emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266.
* Diagnose and rectify faults on a variety of fire alarm panels and associated equipment.
* Complete accurate service reports and site documentation following each visit.
* Liaise with site contacts and customers to ensure works are completed with minimal disruption.
* Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
* Hands-on experience with a range of fire alarm panels, such as Advanced, Gent, Hochiki, or Notifier.
* Experience inspecting and maintaining emergency lighting systems to BS 5266.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Level 3 Certificate in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (desirable).
* CSCS Card (desirable).
