Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Leeds
Rate: £220 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in Leeds looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting across a range of commercial and residential sites in the Leeds and York areas. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of fire alarm systems to BS 5839 standards.
* Inspect, service, and recharge fire extinguishers in line with BS 5306 requirements.
* Test and maintain emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266.
* Identify and report faults, completing accurate service documentation and handover certificates.
* Liaise with site contacts to ensure minimal disruption during visits and communicate findings clearly.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems in a field-based role.
* Hands-on experience with fire extinguisher servicing and emergency lighting systems.
* Familiarity with a range of fire alarm panel manufacturers such as Advanced, Hochiki, or Kentec.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role requires travel across Leeds and the wider York area.
* FIA certification or equivalent fire alarm qualification (desirable).
* BAFE SP101 or extinguisher servicing qualification (desirable).
