Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Norwich
Rate: £220 per day
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout East Anglia. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems to BS 5839 standards.
* Inspect, test, and service portable fire extinguishers in line with BS 5306 requirements.
* Test and maintain emergency lighting systems to BS 5266 standards.
* Diagnose and rectify faults on fire alarm panels and associated devices.
* Complete accurate service reports and certification documentation following each site visit.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and clients to ensure minimal disruption during works.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
* Demonstrable experience working with a range of fire alarm panels from manufacturers such as Advanced, Hochiki, or Kentec.
* Experience servicing portable fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Certificate in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (desirable).
* EUSR or ECS Health & Safety card (desirable).
