Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Rate: £250 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in Nottingham looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting across a range of commercial and residential sites throughout Nottinghamshire. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Service, maintain, and inspect fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839 standards.
* Carry out routine servicing and inspection of fire extinguishers in line with BS 5306 requirements.
* Test and maintain emergency lighting systems in compliance with BS 5266.
* Diagnose and rectify faults on fire detection and alarm systems, providing clear written reports on work completed.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and clients, ensuring minimal disruption during visits.
* Complete accurate service records and certification documentation following each visit.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting.
* Familiarity with a range of fire alarm panel manufacturers such as Advanced, Hochiki, Kentec, or Morley.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role involves travelling to sites across Nottinghamshire.
* FIA Certificate in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS card (desirable).
