Job Title: Fire Alarm Installation Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Rate: £220 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer based in Birmingham looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of fire alarm systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting across a range of commercial and industrial sites in the Midlands. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Install fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839 and site-specific design drawings.
* Fit and position fire extinguishers in line with current regulations and risk assessment requirements.
* Install emergency lighting systems, ensuring correct placement and operation throughout.
* Work from technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
* Liaise with site managers and other trades to coordinate installation activity and maintain programme.
* Ensure all work is completed safely, tidily, and in line with company and client standards.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, ideally 3 or more years in a similar role.
* Demonstrable hands-on experience installing fire alarm systems across commercial or industrial environments.
* Experience installing fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems.
* Valid ECS or CSCS card.
* IPAF licence (current and valid).
* FIA or BAFE certification (desirable).
