Job Title: Gent-Trained Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £38,000–£40,000
Are you a Gent-Trained Fire Alarm Engineer based in Birmingham looking for your next opportunity? As a Gent-Trained Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems across a range of commercial and residential sites, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard and in line with current regulations. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on Gent fire alarm systems across a varied customer portfolio.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on fire alarm systems in a timely and professional manner.
* Complete reactive call-outs, restoring systems to full working order with minimal disruption to the customer.
* Produce accurate service reports and site documentation following each visit.
* Liaise with clients on-site to communicate findings and any recommended remedial works.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with BS 5839 standards and relevant health and safety requirements.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Demonstrable experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems, with strong hands-on knowledge of Gent panels and devices.
* Proven ability to fault-find and diagnose issues across a range of fire alarm installations.
* Experience working across commercial, industrial, or mixed-use sites.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Level 3 Fire Alarm Qualification (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS Card (desirable).
