Job Title: Fire Alarm Design Engineer
Location: North-West
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Package
Are you a Fire Alarm Design Engineer based in the North-West looking for your next opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed fire alarm designs and technical documentation for a range of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, working to relevant British Standards and ensuring designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Produce fire alarm system designs, schematics, and technical drawings using CAD software.
* Develop detailed specifications, cause-and-effect documents, and design packages in accordance with BS 5839.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlines.
* Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to inform fire alarm design solutions.
* Support the project and installation teams throughout the delivery phase, providing technical guidance as required.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, codes of practice, and site-specific requirements.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm design within the fire and security industry.
* Proficiency in CAD design software, such as AutoCAD or equivalent.
* Strong working knowledge of BS 5839 and associated fire alarm standards and regulations.
* Experience producing full design packages including specifications, schematics, and cause-and-effect matrices.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Design qualification (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS Card (desirable).
