Job Title: Fire Alarm & Warden Call Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Length: Long-term rolling contract
Rate: £240 per day + expenses
Are you a Fire Alarm & Warden Call Engineer based in Cambridge looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm & Warden Call Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm and warden/nurse call systems across a variety of commercial, residential, and healthcare sites in the Cambridge area. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839 standards.
* Service and maintain warden call and nurse call systems across a range of site types.
* Diagnose and repair faults on fire alarm and warden/nurse call equipment in a timely manner.
* Complete accurate service documentation and site records following each visit.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and end users during planned and reactive visits.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current regulations and company procedures.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
* Proven experience working with warden call and/or nurse call systems.
* Familiarity with a range of fire alarm panels from manufacturers such as Advanced, Hochiki, Notifier, or Gent.
* Full UK driving licence (essential for this field-based role).
* FIA Level 3 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems qualification (desirable).
* CSCS/ECS card (desirable).
