Job Title: Fire Alarm & Intruder Alarm Engineer
Location: Brighton
Length: Long-term rolling contract
Rate: £240 per day plus expenses
Are you a Fire Alarm & Intruder Alarm Engineer based in Brighton looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm & Intruder Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and remedial works on fire alarm and intruder alarm systems across a variety of commercial and residential sites in the Brighton area. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm and intruder alarm systems to manufacturer and industry standards.
* Diagnose and complete remedial works, ensuring systems are restored to full working order in a timely manner.
* Respond to service calls and carry out fault-finding across a range of fire and intruder alarm equipment.
* Complete accurate service and maintenance records, including digital job sheets and site documentation.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and clients during visits, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant British Standards, including BS 5839 and BS EN 50131.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm and intruder alarm systems.
* Hands-on experience with a range of fire alarm panels, such as Advanced, Gent, Kentec, or Hochiki.
* Experience with intruder alarm systems from manufacturers such as Texecom, Pyronix, or Honeywell.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role requires travel to sites across the Brighton area.
* FIA Level 3 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems qualification (desirable).
* NSI or SSAIB accreditation or experience working within an accredited company (desirable).
