About the Role
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer looking for your next opportunity?
Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of enterprise fire detection and alarm systems to hire an EMEA Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, and handover of fire alarm systems across EMEA projects, ensuring all installations meet the required safety standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- System Commissioning: Commission, configure, and test fire alarm systems across a range of commercial and critical infrastructure sites throughout the EMEA region.
- Site Installation Oversight: Oversee and verify installation works carried out by site teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
- Stakeholder & Team Coordination: Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and clients to ensure commissioning activities are delivered on programme and to specification.
- Technical Reporting & Documentation: Produce accurate commissioning records, cause-and-effect documentation, and handover packs in line with project and client requirements.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works comply with relevant fire safety standards including EN 54, BS 5839, and applicable regional health and safety regulations across EMEA territories.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer within the fire and life safety industry.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on commissioning experience with major fire alarm panel manufacturers and associated detection systems across commercial or critical infrastructure environments.
- Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering system commissioning on multi-site or cross-border projects, with experience in fault-finding and snagging through to client sign-off.
- Soft Skills: Strong client-facing communication skills, methodical approach to fault diagnosis, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Mobility & Eligibility: Valid EU passport required; willingness to travel across the EMEA region as projects demand.
Desirable:
- Certifications: FIA-accredited training, GENT commissioning certification, or equivalent manufacturer-level qualifications; CSCS/ECS card beneficial.
- Sector Background: Prior experience on large-scale commercial, data centre, or critical infrastructure fire alarm projects across European territories.
