Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of commercial electronic security systems to hire an Electronic Security Installation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of electronic security systems across a range of commercial and corporate sites, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation: Install, configure, and commission a range of electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and door entry systems to client specifications.
• Site Survey & Assessment: Carry out pre-installation surveys to assess site requirements and ensure works are planned and executed efficiently.
• Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Work directly with clients and site managers to coordinate access, manage expectations, and ensure minimal disruption during installation works.
• Technical Oversight & Documentation: Complete accurate installation records, as-fitted drawings, handover documentation, and site reports in line with company requirements.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with relevant industry standards including BS EN 50131, BS 8243, and BS 7799, as well as applicable Health & Safety regulations.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years as an Electronic Security Installation Engineer within the physical security industry.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience installing and commissioning CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems from manufacturers such as Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, Texecom, or equivalent.
• Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering installations across commercial, retail, or corporate environments to programme and budget.
• Soft Skills: Strong client-facing communication skills, methodical fault-finding ability, and a professional approach on site.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.

Desirable:

• Certifications: SIA licence, ECS/CSCS card, NSI or SSAIB-aligned installation experience.
• Sector Background: Prior experience working on enterprise commercial or critical infrastructure security contracts.
