Job Title: Business Development Manager (Fire Detection)
Location: Southern UK
Salary: From £50k to £60k per annum + Car or Car Allowance + Commission
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in Fire Detection systems? Technical Resources are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK, developing new business opportunities with consultants, architects, contractors, distributors, system integrators and end users. You will be working for a global leader in fire and life safety solutions, helping to expand market share and introduce innovative fire detection technologies across the commercial sector.
Responsibilities:
● Develop new business opportunities within the Fire Detection market across the UK
● Build relationships with consultants, architects, end users, OEMs, contractors and insurance providers
● Identify and secure large-scale projects from conception through to completion
● Promote and specify Fire Detection solutions within commercial and construction environments
● Prepare, submit and follow up quotations and commercial proposals
● Maintain accurate customer and project records within CRM systems
● Deliver customer seminars, training sessions and CPD presentations
● Work closely with regional sales teams to maximise cross-selling opportunities
● Support the launch and promotion of new Fire Detection technologies
● Meet and exceed agreed sales and gross margin targets
Experience and Certifications Required:
● A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Business Development or Sales role within Fire Detection
● Strong knowledge of commercial Fire Detection systems and solutions
● Experience selling to consultants, main contractors, distributors, system integrators and end users
● Understanding of fire detection standards, regulations and industry best practice
● Proven track record of developing new business and achieving sales targets
● Experience managing projects through the specification and sales process
● Strong presentation, negotiation and communication skills
● Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
● Full UK driving licence
