About the Role

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of integrated audiovisual solutions to hire an AV Installation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and commissioning of AV systems across commercial and enterprise environments, ensuring all solutions are delivered to the highest technical standard.

Key Responsibilities
- AV System Installation: Install and configure audiovisual equipment including displays, projectors, video walls, audio systems, control systems, and cabling infrastructure to specification.
- Commissioning & Testing: Commission installed AV systems, carry out thorough testing and snagging, and ensure full operational sign-off prior to handover.
- Client & Site Coordination: Liaise with site managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure installations are delivered on time and within scope.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Produce accurate as-built drawings, handover packs, and site reports in line with project requirements.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installation work adheres to relevant industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and site health and safety regulations.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as an AV Installation Engineer within the audiovisual or systems integration industry.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with AV equipment and control systems from manufacturers such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, or equivalent.
- Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering AV installations across commercial, corporate, or enterprise environments.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, client-facing ability, methodical approach to fault-finding and commissioning.
- Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK; ability to work on-site in Newcastle and surrounding areas.
Desirable:
- Certifications: CTS (Infocomm Certified Technology Specialist), CSCS card, or manufacturer-specific training (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp).
- Sector Background: Prior experience on projects within education, corporate, hospitality, or critical infrastructure environments.
