About the Role
Are you an experienced Access Control Installer looking for your next opportunity?
Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of commercial security and access control systems to hire an Access Control Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of access control systems across a range of commercial and enterprise sites, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standard and in line with client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install, configure, and terminate access control hardware including door controllers, readers, locks, and associated cabling across commercial and enterprise sites.
- Commissioning & Testing: Commission and test installed systems to manufacturer and client specifications, ensuring full system functionality prior to handover.
- Stakeholder & Site Coordination: Liaise with site managers, main contractors, and end clients to ensure works are delivered on time and with minimal disruption.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate site records, test sheets, and handover documentation in line with project requirements.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works adhere to relevant industry standards and health & safety regulations, including BS EN 50133 and site-specific requirements.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as an Access Control Installer within the physical security industry.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with leading access control platforms such as Lenel, CCure 9000, Genetec, Paxton, or SALTO.
- Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering access control installations on commercial, corporate, or enterprise environments.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, methodical fault-finding ability, and a professional approach to client-facing site work.
- Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
Desirable:
- Certifications: CSCS card, ECS card, or SIA licence advantageous; manufacturer certifications (e.g. Paxton, Lenel) beneficial.
- Sector Background: Prior experience on critical infrastructure, data centre, or high-security commercial projects.
