Job Title: Lead Data Cabling Engineer
Location: London
Salary: From £38,000 To £45,000 per annum
Are you a Lead Data Cabling Engineer based in London? Looking to take the next step in your career with a clear path into a Supervisor role? As a Lead Data Cabling Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering small-works projects across commercial sites, including structured cabling and fibre installations, while acting as the technical lead on-site. You will be working for a leading IP and connectivity services provider.
Responsibilities:
● Installation and termination of Cat6 and fibre cabling across commercial environments
● Testing, troubleshooting, and certification of data cabling systems
● Leading small-works projects from start to completion
● Ensuring safe delivery, accurate documentation, and project close-out
● Providing technical guidance and training to apprentices and junior engineers
● Liaising with clients and site contacts to deliver projects successfully
● Reporting progress, issues, and requirements to management
Experience and Certifications required:
● A minimum of several years’ experience in a similar role
● Strong experience with Cat6 and fibre cabling installations
● Understanding of structured cabling standards, terminations, and testing
● Experience leading small-works projects across commercial sites
● Strong communication and client-facing skills
