Job Title: Service Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Are you a Service Manager with experience in the fire and security sector, based near Southampton? Looking to take ownership of service delivery across a growing portfolio? As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts, and repairs, ensuring engineers, schedules, and clients are aligned to deliver high-quality service. You will be working for a well-established fire and security specialist operating across the South of England.
Responsibilities:
● Oversee planning and scheduling of PPM activities, resources, and timelines
● Monitor daily progress using internal job management systems
● Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure efficient service delivery
● Prepare and manage RAMS and compliance documentation
● Attend contract meetings and report on KPIs and performance
● Maintain and update internal databases and job tracking systems
● Review engineer time, attendance, and service documentation
● Identify remedial works and produce quotations for non-compliance issues
● Support invoicing processes and revenue forecasting
● Act as the main point of contact between engineers, operations, and customers
Experience and Certifications required:
● A minimum of proven experience in a service management, coordination, or scheduling role
● Experience within the fire and security industry
● Strong knowledge of PPM and service contract environments
● Experience using job management systems (e.g. Simpro or similar)
● Understanding of health and safety processes, including RAMS and CDM (desirable)
● Level 3 qualification in fire and/or security disciplines (desirable)
