Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Length: Monthly rolling contract
Rate: £240 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in Newcastle looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout the North East. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems across multiple sites in line with BS 5839 standards.
* Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
* Complete accurate service records and site documentation following each visit.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and clients to ensure minimal disruption during works.
* Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with current industry regulations and company procedures.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems in a field-based role.
* Proven experience working with addressable and conventional fire alarm panels from manufacturers such as Advanced, Gent, Hochiki, or Notifier.
* Strong understanding of BS 5839 and relevant fire safety legislation.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Certificated Engineer or equivalent fire alarm qualification (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS card (desirable).
