Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: South West (Devon/Exeter)
Length: Long-term contract
Rate: £240 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in the South West looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and fault-finding on fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across a range of commercial and residential sites throughout the Devon and Exeter area. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing and planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839.
* Inspect, test, and maintain emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on fire alarm panels and associated devices efficiently and accurately.
* Complete accurate service and maintenance records, ensuring all documentation is up to date following each site visit.
* Liaise with site contacts and clients to ensure works are completed with minimal disruption.
* Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with current health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems in a field-based role.
* Proven fault-finding ability across a range of fire alarm panels, including Gent, Advanced, Kentec, or similar.
* Experience inspecting and maintaining emergency lighting systems to BS 5266.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Level 3 qualification or equivalent (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS card (desirable).
