Job Title: Fire Alarm Installation Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer based in the Midlands looking for your next opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting across a range of commercial and residential sites. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Install fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839 and manufacturer specifications.
* Fit and commission fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems to current standards.
* Carry out first and second fix wiring and containment on new and existing sites.
* Work from technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
* Liaise with site managers and other trades to coordinate installation works effectively.
* Complete relevant site documentation and handover paperwork upon job completion.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the installation of fire alarm systems in a commercial environment.
* Proven experience working with fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems.
* Sound knowledge of BS 5839 and relevant fire safety standards.
* Full UK driving licence.
* ECS or CSCS card required.
* IPAF licence required.
* FIA or Level 3 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems qualification (desirable).
