Job Title: Fire & Security Design Engineer / Estimator
Location: Yorkshire to Scotland (Remote with travel)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Are you a Fire & Security Design Engineer / Estimator based between Yorkshire and Scotland, looking for your next step? As a Design Engineer / Estimator, you will be responsible for producing system designs, cost estimates, and supporting project delivery across fire and security projects. You will be working for a company specialising in delivering fire and security solutions within the public sector.
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed designs and quotations for fire and security systems
- Prepare CAD drawings where required
- Conduct site surveys and liaise with clients to ensure design accuracy
- Provide technical support to project delivery teams
- Ensure all designs meet relevant standards and specifications
- Manage multiple projects, delivering accurate cost estimates and solutions
Experience and Certifications required:
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience across Fire & Security systems
- Knowledge of surveying, design, and estimating processes
- CAD experience
- FIA certification (Fire Alarm Design)
- Full UK driving licence
