The ideal candidate would come from a similar background and have good understanding of the "end to end" telecoms design process.
Structural Engineer (telecoms)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Company Benefits
Ability to work on new sites, existing sites and upgrades. Being expected to survey, inspect and certify sites
Tower strengthening, analysis, design, fabrication and erection
Concrete and structural steel base design
Carry out structural analysis and site inspections
Structural analysis of antenna support poles and tripods
Responsible for the production of structural calculations. This could be new sites, existing upgrades or rooftops.
Responsible for the overseeing of production and checking of AutoCAD drawings.
Responsible for providing technical support to site-based resource relating to installation and commissioning activities.
Concrete base design including reinforcement schedules for towers
Structural analysis software.
Geotechnical/soil analysis for base design in the telecoms environment
Have at least 2 years' experience in structural steelwork design
Be a Structural Engineer or an experienced Structural Technician
Have the ability to carry out structural analysis by hand calculations or using computer analysis software
Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Working knowledge of structural software
Working knowledge of UK standards
