This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team that covers many areas of ICT solution delivery, providing innovative solutions to the both the business and the public on a fixed term two year contract as a network support engineer.
About the role:
As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in an environment with a wide variety of different platforms and architectures. We are embarking on an exciting digital transformation programme looking to further levy the technologies available to us in order to improve performance and service to the public.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering this digital service transformation going forwards, working alongside a team of other specialists and our delivery partner Microsoft.

You will be expected to work closely with our colleagues in all areas of ICT and Wiltshire Council project staff and engineers from Microsoft to deliver a seamless service to our customers both internal and external and as such will require strong communication and influencing skills.
You will be a hard-working self-motivated individual that specialises in network solutions. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, VPN's and traffic routing
You will have Knowledge of Networking protocols i.e OSPF, BGP, ADSL, VLANs, etc, and excellent knowledge of networking equipment, firewalls, switches and routers, specifically Juniper SRX 1500 Series firewall SRX and EX series switches ML Series Routers Junos space Checkpoint Firewalls and Cisco Switches/Routers. Knowledge of Bluecoat Packetshaper, F5 Load Balancing units, and Aruba WiFi Controllers and APs.
