IT Admin - 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer
Location: Reading (Some remote work from home possible)
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 + Benefits

JOB PURPOSE:
This role is to be responsible for maintaining the core company IT infrastructure. Additionally, there will be an element of managing ongoing Data Archive migrations.

DIMENSIONS:
*Provide daily monitoring (and action where necessary) the IT systems
*Provide recommendations, evaluate and deploy new systems to help the back office function efficiently
*Provide monitoring and management of ongoing customer data migrations
Primarily an internal role but with customer contact for data migration related activity

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to compare business, commercial and technical requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
*Ability to communicate / present ideas & solutions to audiences of all levels
*Ability to pass on relevant I.T. knowledge and concepts to others.
*Ability to liaise with 3rd party suppliers.
*Wide experience in all facets of IT infrastructure
*Good to Excellent knowledge of broad IT systems including networking, AD, Virtualisation, Firewalling, VPNs, Backups and Office 365 from
*Team player
*Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge
*2nd line support experience or junior server / network admin

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Proactive monitoring and maintenance of the IT infrastructure
*Provide technical support to staff
*Review current applications and processes and make suggestions for improvements where necessary
*For new processes or application, evaluate and test and report findings to the IT Director
*Ensure that new services, or changes to existing services, are technically implemented according to vendor best practices.
*Manage and monitor ongoing data migrations, with reporting and escalation to the Service Delivery manager.
