One of the UK's fastest growing ISP's are looking to recruit an experienced data cabling engineer who is comfortable travelling nationwide and staying away. The company specialise in providing robust connections to many of the UK's most remote areas including schools, holiday parks, hospitals, care homes, universities, historical sites, etc.
There is plenty of overtime opportunity to increase your OTE whilst staying away.
It is essential you have an ECS or CSCS. It is desirable you have: IPAF or PASMA, SSTS or SMSTS, Fibre or Structured Cabling Certifications.
*Data Cabling (cat5/cat6) installation, termination, testing and documentation
*Wireless point to point link installation (cherry picker work).
*Installation of equipment (racking and stacking, switches, routers, etc).
*Cabling and installation of wireless access points, cabinets and external devices.
*Fibre optic cabling (splicing / testing not essential as training can be provided)
*Other project activity including civils work, laying duct/cables underground, customer installs, etc
*Reporting back to the installation manager on installation progress in a timely manner.
*Quality assurance of installation including keeping all on-site documentation up-to date.
*Managing on site exceptions and dealing with the customer on a day-to-day basis
