This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of this fast-moving and entrepreneurial B2B telecoms and IT services provider. Operating throughout the UK and being a part of a wider pan-European group, we're looking for someone that can develop and implement our people strategy to support the achievement of our ambitious UK growth plans.

Based in the UK, reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for all HR activities within the Group's existing and future business activities in the UK. The role will require some foreign travel where you will collaborate with our European colleagues to provide best practice, people-focused business solutions.

Responsibilities

The main role responsibilities include:

*Providing a strategic, business-focused HR service to the leadership and functional management teams. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of a comprehensive HR strategy to support immediate and longer-term business needs.
*Identifying, guiding, supporting and advising on the effective people practices needed to achieve the strategic business goals and associated revenue streams of the UK companies.
*Developing and maintaining relationships with the senior leadership team, operational managers and service function managers as the HR expert for the business.
*Leading, managing and directing HR staff to deliver a comprehensive and excellent HR service, taking overall responsibility for the functional performance of HR.
*Ensuring that HR policies, procedures and processes are up-to-date and in line with current employment law, implementing changes and introducing new initiatives as required to support business needs and working culture.
*Driving continuous improvement by developing and managing the delivery of specific HR projects in line with business needs.
*Providing HR input and support to wider business projects as necessary
*Devising and implementing a talent management plan which focuses on employee attraction, leadership development, succession, engagement and retention.
*Measuring and tracking staff engagement, identifying areas that require improvement and working with leaders, managers and stakeholders to implement appropriate changes.
*Building and developing relationships with Group stakeholders at all levels, to provide support, guidance and challenge where appropriate on all HR related matters.
*Continuing to develop and foster a working environment that is customer-centric and promotes collaboration within and across teams, making it a place in which people 'love to work.'

The Successful Applicant

Behaviours will be just as important a consideration in our selection process, in addition to technical knowledge and experience. Applicants will therefore need to demonstrate the following:

*Acting as senior leader, at all times raising the HR profile across the Group.
*Possess commercial acumen and an ability to demonstrate the value added by the HR function.
*Experienced operating at a senior level with experience in coaching a leadership team.
*Have a proven background in strategic planning and driving HR initiatives.
*Experienced at managing change and working to short, time-based deadlines.
*Thorough employee relations experience with excellent working knowledge of UK employment law, including company acquisition.
*Be an ambassador of our vision and values and embody them throughout UK Group
companies.
*Be degree educated, with CIPD level 5 accreditation as a minimum.
